Where do you cover?
My costal studio is based in the Morecambe Bay area overlooking the South Lake District. Being only a few miles from the Cumbrian and North Yorkshire borders, means most of my weddings happen in and around all areas of the Lake District, Eden Valley and Ribble Valley.
How would you describe your style?
Abundant! I am a ‘more is more’ type of florist because I truly, madly, deeply love flowers. I am drawn to the creme de la creme of the flower world, so my arrangements are full of the most gorgeous blooms. My arrangements are romantic and elegant, in a natural and gentle way. I love a bit of whimsy and rustic charm, with a little touch of wild thrown in for good measure. My bridal bouquets are always finished with a delicious waft of super soft and floaty pure silk ribbon and my buttonholes are deftly bound with jute twine.
How much do your wedding flowers cost?
Superior quality wedding flowers are expensive, they are definitely a luxury item…and this is partly why I introduced The Floral Collection Range alongside my A La Carte design service. It is really important to me that I can cater for all purse strings, and all sizes of weddings, without compromising on the quality or floral content that I insist on using. The Floral Collection Range enables me to offer beautiful wedding day flowers to everyone irrespective of their investment.
Do you have a price list?
Yes, I do have an A La Carte list of guide prices.
Do you have a minimum spend?
Yes, for Friday, Saturday & Sunday weddings from April until November I have a minimum spend of £1500 for my A La Carte service. A limited number of popular dates are available for The Floral Collection Range, please enquire to see if your date is available.
How much should I budget?
This is an open-ended question to which realistically, there is no answer. Wedding blogs and magazines suggest around 10% of your overall wedding spend as a rough guide. A La Carte couples have an average investment between £2000 to £2500 for personal flowers for their bridal party, ceremony and venue decor for around 100 guests, including a backdrop installation.
Do you offer flower packages?
Yes. I created The Floral Collection Range – a series of packages that offer couples a cost effective option when it comes to wedding day flowers.
What is The Floral Collection Range?
The Floral Collection Range includes three different packages. These packages are suitable for elopement, intimate and medium sized weddings. You will find more information for each package on the dedicated pages.
How is The Floral Collection Range different to the A La Carte design service?
There is very little difference in terms of the quality and quantity of the floral content that is included, and the love and attention to detail that goes into creating the arrangements. The only difference between the two is, The Floral Collection Range packages offer specific arrangements for a fixed investment.
What is included in The Floral Collection Range?
Each package within The Floral Collection Range offers a set amount of arrangements for a set price. Theses packages offer an exceptional opportunity for you to have abundant and exquisite wedding day flowers; giving you the arrangements you need, in the colour palette you want, all delivered direct to you on the day of your wedding. The Floral Collection Range is designed in such a way that you are still receiving a bespoke service, just on a smaller scale for one fixed fee.
Do I really need flowers for an elopement wedding?
Yes, absolutely! Flowers elevate any and every occasion to the next level – they add that extra touch of romance to your day, especially for elopement weddings. Elopement weddings are often overlooked in terms of flowers, and when there’s so much direct focus on you both as the happy couple, gorgeous fresh flowers are the perfect addition to celebrate those special, intimate moments when you say, I do. The Just Us Floral Collection offers the perfect elopement flower arrangements for your special day.
Do you offer styling?
Styling can be included as part of my A La Carte service – items such as candles and candlesticks, vases, table runners and other essential items.
The Limited Edition also has some styling elements included for your big day.
Do you work with stylists?
Yes I do. My only stipulation is I am the only fresh floral provider on your big day. The one exception is for a church flower team to provide flower arrangements for use during your church ceremony only.
Do you provide faux flowers?
Nope.
I only work with fresh flowers that are scented, natural and utterly gorgeous. Fake flowers are not my thing and I am not a huge fan of dried flowers either, although I don’t mind the odd dried element alongside fresh flowers – dried golden bracken looks pretty awesome in a full on autumnal bouquet!
Do you offer face to face consultations?
Yes, and no.
Consultations for my A La Carte service will be online via a WhatsApp video or Zoom call to discuss your wedding day florals. We will then meet again at around 10 – 12 weeks prior to your big day where we will discuss your final order and all of the logistics for your big day. I am happy for us to correspond via email at any time before our face to face meeting; I will always be available to you. For all The Floral Collection Range – as this is a different design process, all correspondence is via email, which can be as much or as little as you wish.
Can I keep my flowers?
Yes, please do! All I ask is you do not keep any vessels or containers unless we have agreed otherwise. Nothing gives me greater joy than to arrive at the clear down the day after your wedding to find the arrangements have been thoroughly plundered! For The Floral Collection Range – Just Us / Us and Ours – all your flowers are yours to keep including the vases and containers as this is part of the package. Many of my couples choose to gift their flowers to loved ones post celebration, please ask me about gift bags.
