As wedding suppliers often say, “it’s YOUR day and YOU should do it YOUR way…”
Well, Siobhan and Luke’s wedding was the perfect example of exactly that – they made sure their wedding was 100% how they wanted it to be.

The happy couple and their family didn’t book to stay in a hotel or venue as a group, they each organised their own suitable accommodation in Ambleside. This enabled them to not only enjoy an extended family holiday, but importantly, it gave them all the freedom and space they needed, especially with having young children.

On the morning of the wedding, as most brides do, Siobhan enjoyed a little bit of pampering, having both her hair styled and make up applied by the professionals before she slipped into her gorgeously stylish and very chic wedding dress.

The couple organised their own minibus transport from Ambleside, and the group arrived all together an hour or so prior to the ceremony. They were super excited to be greeted by a welcoming committee of myself, Tiree and Summer – the photographers, and the lovely John, events & wedding coordinator at Lindeth Howe.
Drinks were sipped and conversation flowed as buttonholes were attached and pre-ceremony photos snapped.

The intimate wedding ceremony took place in the Hilltop room, a bright and airy room with colourful and eclectic decor.

Following the ceremony, champers, chunky chips, canapés and cake all slipped down a treat – it’s a very thirsty and hungry business is this getting married lark!

The family dogs enjoyed some doggy daycare and made a brief appearance to congratulate the happy couple.

There was a pause in the rain which gave way to a little bit of sun, giving the chance to make use of the gorgeous gardens at Lindeth Howe for confetti and family shots.

The newlyweds were then whisked away down to Lake Windermere for some epically romantic and atmospheric shots.

After a couple of hours, their transport arrived to collect them all so they could go on to continue their celebrations. The whole day was informal and relaxed, yet sophisticated and stylish, and perfectly executed; a wonderfully intimate wedding day for the most fabulous couple and their family.
