Armathwaite Hall on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, North Lake District

Amy & Daniel

Armathwaite Hall, think roaring log fires, the most excellent food, attentive and friendly service, magnificent and welcoming spaces including a very glamorous bar and sweeping staircase = a stunning place to marry.

Oozing all the sumptuous grandeur of a stately home with the addition of modern day expectations, this charming and idyllic venue is just a short drive from Keswick, on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake and nestled amidst some of the highest mountains in the north Lake District.

Without doubt, Armathwaite Hall is totally picture perfect, and truly looks as though it is taken from the pages of a fairytale book.

Amy & Daniel chose to have an intimate wedding, celebrating with just their nearest and dearest, however, they wanted their spring inspired floral arrangements to add a luxurious feel to their wedding day.

In choosing a white and green colour palette and using seasonally available in March favourites, such as tulips, ranunculus, snowdrops and lots and lots of spiraea, curated light and airy arrangements which were ethereal with a gentle touch of whimsy, capturing the feeling of all the emerging buds of the new growth of spring.

Repurposing the meadows from the ceremony, and adding lots of candle light to the early evening wedding breakfast, created the most romantic and lavish aesthetic for this intimate celebration in keeping with all the splendour of Armathwaite Hall.

Beautifully detailed photos were expertly captured and documented by Tiree Dawson Photography in her artful and utterly romantic, signature style.
